Pharmacy Services

The pharmacy staff at Sierra Kings District Hospital is responsible for overseeing medication use at the hospital and associated clinics. The pharmacist participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team to take care of the patients at SKDH. The pharmacy is staffed by two technicians and a pharmacist.

The services provided by the pharmacy department include:

• Dispensing of unit dose medications in unit of use whenever possible
• IV additive service


• Patient teaching regarding medication use


• Drug information to health care providers


• Clinical consultation as it relates to medication therapy


• Pharmacokinetics
