Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Care staff is well trained, and all our therapists are licensed by the State of California. Our hours are designed to meet the needs of our inpatients as well as our outpatients. A respiratory care practitioner is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

SERVICES OFFERED:

• Electrocardiogram (EKG): This test measures the electrical ability of the heart.
  
• Holter monitor: This is a 24-hour recording of your heart.
  
• Pulmonary Function Test (PFT): A breathing study that measures the flow and volumes of your lungs.
  
• Breathing treatments: Therapy ordered by your doctor to assist in mobilizing secretions and opening airways to help you breathe easier.
  
• Asthma education: This program is designed to educate adults and children who have asthma to monitor their asthma and learn more about their medications
  
• Overnight Pulse Oximetry: Performed while you sleep to determine oxygen levels. It's a great way to screen for sleep apnea or oxygen deprivation caused by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or Congestive Heart Failure. This service is offered for Inpatients and Outpatients.
